Guest Speakers:
Davinia Grant introduced todays speaker, Noelle Nichols, co-founder & Director of Wellness at Four Walls Squash & Social Club.

Noelle was with us today to share the story so far and vision for the future of she and her co-investors efforts to revitalise the building and business that was formerly The Squash Club on Village Road.

It was always going to be a challenge, but covid arriving three weeks after closing on the sale of the building and more recently having been “locked down” by road works on Village Road have certainly added to it.

The new group would not be deterred though and what started off as 15 die hard squash members, which has been increased to 50 members and there is now a  squash community to around 140 people.  A coaching program has been introduced to attract more people to the sport.

Participation and support of the community is a vital part of their philosophy, and the club supports the businesses of many of its members, and a pop up market in their back yard promotes local small businesses once a month.

Squash is easy to pick up but very difficult to master so Noelle encouraged all those not familiar with it to come and give it a go.  Corporate wellness days are offered as are group bookings.

Ten (10) squash lessons are being offered free to RCEN members on a first come first served (pun intended) basis, and on top of that free squash for all RCEN members for a limited time only!

A lively Q&A session followed.

Vote of Thanks
