For over 43 years, the Rotary Club of East Nassau has provided a number of programs and services to the Bahamian community, one of which is the partnership with the Scouts Association of The Bahamas. John Phillpot, President of The Scouts, accepted a check on behalf of a joint fundraising effort with the Rotary Club of East Nassau. The efforts undertaken in the Club's Annual Golf Tournament fundraising event allows the Scout Association of The Bahamas to partner in a way that would provide an opportunity for young people to develop, show leadership skills, and benefit the community.

As stated by Patrick Rollins, President of the Rotary Club of East Nassau "over the last few years, we have enjoyed phenomenal support from members of the community towards sponsoring this event. It is a great way to unite such reputable organizations and to give something back to our communities."

The Rotary Club of East Nassau is teaming up with the Scout Association of The Bahamas again this year for the Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, May 29, 2006.  This event has been one of the club's primary fundraising activities for the past 20 years, raising funds to aid many worthwhile local causes.  The proceeds from the Rotary Annual Charity Golf Tournament are shared and raised between the two organizations and benefit charitable organizations throughout The Bahamas.
